The difference between industries investing in technology pre-pandemic and post-pandemic is far higher. This is mainly investing in new technology targeting to facilitate remote work. According to McKinsey & Company (2020), organizations across sectors invested heavily in digital tools and platforms to facilitate remote collaboration, communication, and workflow management. Even if the IT industry is ready to invest in remote work are other industries moving back to the pre-pandemic scenario? However, it's crucial to note that the pace and extent of technology investment may vary across industries, influenced by factors such as organizational culture, regulatory environment, and financial constraints (Gibson et al., 2019)
